I got myself one of these bad boys. Central Vac for the house (with outlet in Garage and separate car hose and tools), located in the garage. Crazy power.

Hoover GUV ProGrade Garage Utility Vac. About $200. Found it on sale for $179.
Great suction power. I`ve only had it since mid summer, but so far I am very pleased. Love the long hose. Just wished it had an `on/off` switch at the end of the hose so I didn`t have to climb out of the car to turn it off.
Wall mounted, 10 amp 120v, 30 ft of hose, the usual tools
I have read where removing the filter gives more suction power. Any truth to that? Can it damage the machine?
If you have a Jan/San Distributor near your house call them up. I have had good luck with a 15 Gallon Minuteman wet/dry. Full tool kit (hose, crevice tool, dust brush, floor tool, wet squeegee tool and wand). Nobles also makes a good unit.
I originally purchased it for a flood I had in the house, but since then (a few years at least) I use it for the cars.
It`s a little big but it works well for the cars and the occasional disaster. If you need the exact model number PM me and i will look.
I have recently switched to using the Shop vac bags rather than the filter. I seem to get more suction, less debris, and holds a ton of stuff. They cost the same as a filter, however you get three bags in an order.

I have a 5hp Ridgid that works great but I am looking for something a bit smaller with just as much if not more power.

I have a normal wet vac had some issues with poor suction and stain removal
:Innocent:
