    Nattys Black Review

This past weekend I had some time to catch up on some much needed detailing of my 2003 Black Nissan 350Z. I figured that it was a good time to try out my new Jar of Natty’s Black. I know that coatings are all the rage these days but I still find myself reaching for carnuabas as LSP’s on all of my garage queens. I know that durabiltiy is not the best with a carnuaba but since none of my cars are ever driven in the rain I’m not that concerned. I just love the look of a nice carnuaba on reds and blacks. Considering that I am an avid Natty’s fan and have white, blue, and red I was pretty excited to try out the new Natty’s black.

    Product Description:

Nattys Black is a show car worthy paste wax that refracts light in such a way that it will help to hide minor imperfections. When Nattys Black is applied over Black Hole Show Car Glaze, the combination produces an unbeatable shine and depth that is unsurpassed and application is easy enough for anyone to get the best shine possible on a show car or a daily driver. Natty’s Black is a special blend of 100% Brazilian Carnauba Wax and UV Absorbers for superior protection from the elements. In addition to being a great stand-alone wax, Nattys Black can also be applied as a topper over a sealant like EX or EX-P for added protection and gloss. Nattys Black allows you to lay down a nice thin even layer of the wax and each jar should provide over 20 applications on a standard size vehicle.

Cost: $29.99 for 8 ounce jar

Poorboys Nattys Black Paste Wax 8 oz.

    Process:
    Rinseless wash via Wolfgang Uber
HD Speed via GG6 with a Megs lower proflie pad
PB Black Hole with LC black pad
Wipe down with Pinnacle Crystal Mist

    Thoughts:

1-Natty’s Black is about as easy to use as any of the other Natty’s waxes. Easy on, easy off, and no dusting.
2- I noticed that the wax did stain my foam applicator black so I would plan on making it your dedicated app for the jar.
3-Application: I applied by hand with a foam app and would do a panel and let haze. I would then go back to the previous panel and wipe. Removal was a breeze.
4-Look-Outsatnding. Lots of depth and gloss. Pretty much what I would expect from any of the Natty’s waxes.

    Three letters: W......E.......T !

Did you have any issues with applying Poorboys Nattys Black after using HD Speed? Sometimes I find products dont play well together when using one after another.

Seeing a 350Z in this condition is awesome. I was in the market for a 350z/370z car recently and found most of them to look abused.

Pats300 Much like you, I reach for the waxes. Havent tried coatings myself, but something about a paste wax that just draws me toward them!

    The car looks great!

Coincidentally, I was looking over my old business cards and one had my friends red 370z. Man it looked good! (Well yeah, I detailed it). And yesterday I had seen a black one on the freeway that was pretty clean and thought, "I want to detail THAT car!" LOL

But good job, and glad to hear positive things about this offering from Poorboys.

Well heres my report back .. I found an applicator that has had Nattys Black on it for a long time and I also have a white 4" pad I was using this weekend to polish some metal that was really black ... so I pre treated and then soaked them in the Tornado, which did reduce the staining, but then I got a little curious and used some Typhoon (microfiber cleaner) ... it literally bled the black right out of both the microfiber applicator and the foam pad .. this will need some more investigation
