I know this guy with a polished aluminum Cobra. Real sweet! I think it`s 200 hours or so. Kirkham does it at the factory.

And Yes you have to give props for the polish job on the Cobra but that is aluminum. The Delorean is Stainless Steel WAY harder to polish and it is brushed stainless at that. Basically aluminum is a much softer metal so getting that finish is an entirely different process.
Super clean, low mile cars sell for around 20-25K+-. Polishing the body would most likely remove 10K of the value to a "true" collector. It looks "cool" if you like that stuff.
I don`t think I`ve ever seen a DeLorean look that shiny.
