Hi I have Oetinnger REs and I was wondering if anyone knew what type of coating the Silver Finish has so I can use a safe but strong wheel cleaner and get some road grim off the rims.

    Thanks

Check it with metal polish. If the applicator turns black, they are more than likely uncoated. Be sure and check the lips too. Doubt means don`t.

I`d try to find out before using *anything* that poses even the slightest risk. Why not call them up and ask.

If they were mine and I couldn`t get any info, I`d err on the side of caution and just use stuff like solvent (3M Adhesive Remover), clay, and AIO. Why risk having to have them refinished?
