I searched but couldn`t really find a specific answer.

I have some serious scratches that were put into my car when it was shipped across country via train last year. :grrr i`ve tried everything short of wetsanding to remove them and I think i`m ready to bite the bullet and try.

if I finish the wetsanding with 3000 grit paper, will I be able to use my PC with a lake country orange pad and poorboys SSR2.5 or 3 to remove the wetsanding scratches? If it means anything, the car is a 2000 VW (hard paint).

    Thanks

    Tim

3000 should buff out nicely. I have had good lock removing 1500 grit marks with a Sam Arnold compounding pad and True Grit compound made by Malco.
