    Pressure washer hose connections

I hope my fellow Autopians can help me with this. I was going to buy a Greenworks GPW 1501 pressure washer. I needed a 50 ft pressure hose for it. I contacted Greeneorks to see what connection they used on their pressure hose. I got a cryptic message basically saying their was proprietary. So I thinking about buying a AR Blue Clean 1600. AR offers a optional quick connect garden hose connection. What connection does the pressure hose have? AR offers a 50 ft hose for around $150 which is more than the 1600 cost. I would like to buy an after market 50 ft hose for the 1600. Can anyone help me.

It`s more than likely an M22 fitting. That`s the most common on consumer grade machines. However, before you buy anything check out the great write-up Zach did on how to upgrade your hose + spray gun and related fittings a while ago:

    https://www.autopia.org/forums/every...ighlight=ryobi

I took his advice and upgraded to everything but the hose (I already replaced the OEM one) and couldn`t be happier. Thanks again, Zach!

I have an AR Blue Clean 383 PW and replacing the OEM spray wand with an MTM gun made a HUGE difference in terms of comfort and ease of use. It also solved an annoying "hiccup" issue the AR 383 had where the machine would surge over and over again and not spray at full power. I was ready to repalce it in frustration but not any more.

I ended up buying the lil Ryobi unit on Zach’s recommendation. Haven’t had a chance to upgrade the hose and fittings yet, but it’s a nice little pressure washer. Used it to blast the paint off my deck.

Thanks for the info about the stock gun causing a hiccup- I ran into that with my Ryobi at one point as well and couldn’t figure out for the life of me why it was unhappy. Definitely looking forward to quick fittings and a longer hose!
