Is this a good product list for my first detail?
Thanks.
Is this a good product list for my first detail? I also just received my UDM Model-1000 today.

It depends what you`re looking for... You can wash and protect the paint. I have the AA Tire Gel and I like the look it gives and plus the EagleOne Tire and Wheel cleaner does a good job.
I think that you would be ok for an exterior mini detail. Nice shampoo (even I prefer NXT).
1) wash (have you bought any decent wash mitt)
2) dry ??? (with what?)
3) clay (it is ok)
4) remove minor blemishes with scratch x (any applicator ?)
5) Wax (with nxt)
you should also buy:
wash mitt
mf
drying towel
wheel brush or sponge and you would be just fine![]()

3) Yeah, I was told to buy ClayMagic Blue but it wasn`t at my local Advance Auto Parts
4) Scratch X isn`t a polish? And what is an applicator
5) Yup, I heard NXT 2.0 is one of the better waxes and it was at the local store.
Wash mitt- I bought a microfiber wash mitt
MF- I bought 5 MF towels
Drying towle- I bought a couple MF drying towel
Wheel brush- I bought Mirage Wheel Detailing Brush
I think you have all covered then.
Applicator is foam or mf or terry small pads. You should use one to wax and one to polish.

The applicator is what you use to rub the polish into/against the paint...I`d probably just use the kinf of foam pads that you also use to apply wax.
Doing a whole car with ScratchX is likely to be a real workout. Be sure to work it until it`s almost dry so you break down its (rather mild) abrasives. Expect to use it numerous times on areas where you have significant marring...just go over it again and again (rub in with applicator, buff off with MF towel) until it looks good or until you say "enough already"![]()
Okay. thanks guys. now i just need some good weather...
