All of these new sealants seem similar in that they are apply and walk away. Does anyone have any experience in applying them in direct sunlight?

Some of the details I`ve completed lately were in areas where I had no shade. I`d love to be able to cut out the buffing step of the detail for time sake but I`ve not heard anything regarding how this new generation of sealants works on hot surfaces. My guess is that it`s a no no but I thought I`d ask anyway.

    Thanks!!!

I have seen a copy of the Opti-Seal label and it says to not use on surfaces over 90 degrees. You might be able to get away with using it on a hotter surface but you`d have to work small areas at a time. 100 degrees, straight up noon and full sun on black paint? Probably going to be problems. :nervous2:

It must flash very quickly-must be a function of the solvents used.

Both Clear Seal and Opti-Seal have a light alcohol scent, FWIW.
