New type of grit guard from cg. thoughts?

I think it looks hilariously useless..I will bet at least 70% of the dirt doesnt go through those tiny holes and just keeps getting sloshed back up into your wash sponge. Get some aquarium Filter pads in the bulk size and stick it under a grit guard and I bet that is 100000x more effective then this terrible looking idea.

PAC used to sell the identical product, which had a sponge under it and a grate that went on the side of the bucket, I believe it was called DritGuard Auto Wash System. For all of the parts, I felt the simple Grit-Guard worked the best.

i agree as i also have this original grit guard but feel the new grit guard works better. may have to consider the two grit guard trick though.
