Do you find that the Meguiar`s car wash strips seem to lack suds?

    Re: finally,a real wash!

Living in southern California, I guess I`m spoiled in terms of the weather. Here, we don`t really have to worry about "winterizing" our cars. We can pretty much wash and detail normally all year round. I`ll just stop rubbing your nose in it now. I do have some sympathy for you and I`m glad you were able to get out and get a traditional wash in.

Hey I`m from PA and the weather is allowing us to keep fairly clean this week I feel your joy.

I even got a paid detail this weekend, she`s getting her husbands car detailed for Valentines Day. She`s a keeper.

    Re: finally,a real wash!

Yeah the "nice weather", which means anything over 32* in the NorthEast, definitely means it`s time to drag out the hose & bucket for a real wash.

Now I can take the main roads for a while because the car was looking so bad I had to take the backroads to avoid being seen.

My gf thinks I`m sick `cause I bucket wash when it`s so cold but I use water just a bit warmer than normal and some yellow dishwashing gloves & I`m not cold at all.

    Warning:Thread hi-jack!

What is this real wash with a hose and bucket, anyway?
    Is this a good thing?
I seem to have a vague recollection of something similar to this, but it was so long ago, I can`t remember the specifics.
Maybe in about 6 weeks it will be something I will want to try.
It is supposed to get into the high 40`s by the week-end so things are lookig a little better. If we could just get all the snow melted and the runoff down the drain, maybe I could drive a clean vehicle at least 8 to 10 blocks before getting it splattered again. I washed our 2 cars twice each in the past week (Spray & Wipe), and they are both dirty again.

    Do you really think so???
Oh yeah, I am so sick and tired of winter you wouldn`t believe it. And I know I`m not alone in this, but I`m still not handling it very well.

    Charles,

Good news. The roads are fairly dry in eastern Nebraska. Central Iowa is next. :beer (Root beer of course!)
