I currently use the daytona and they work well on well maintained wheels, less so on really bad barrels. I like that the one size can get everywhere I need it to even between the caliper and the barrel so I don`t need to move my car forward.

you do have to stand to the side when pulling the brush out or you will get sprayed. I usually also put my fireman nozzle on light spray when I am about to remove the brush to knock back any backspray from the brush.

the large size is also good for reaching the entire barrel. I was getting bruised knuckles from an earlier 11" brush I was using which made it difficult to reach the full barrel of my back rims which are 8.5 inches wide...

Do you hold the nozzle at 90 degree angle to the wheel so you don`t rinse off the cleaner before you get a chance to agitate it

No I`ll spray it at the wheel. If I need more cleaner then I`ll just spray more. I`m usually only using carsoap and water anyhow...

Ok i`ll have to give that a try because I hate the feeling of the dirty wheel cleaner hitting your arm everythime you pull the brush out.

I do too. My arms always end up with little black specks on them.

I would love to have some wheel wollies too, but man they are expensive. The GG ones look very similar but are quite a bit cheaper.

A lot of people have but Optimum suggest you don`t at least on the windshield. I wonder if their not doing that to cover themselves for liabilty reasons though.

It sounds like it, I mean I don`t know why they would tell you you can put it on all windows except the front

I have seen threads where guy have used in on window with good success. I think the deal is that it just isn`t designed for glass so Optimum can`s predict how it will bond to glass.
I hear voices in my mind and you’re worried that you’re the freak.

I wonder how quickly the wipers wear through the coating.

Who knows? But I damn sure would rather have the wipers wearing though the coating than I would the glass!

I would be more concerned over it causing wiper chatter and then trying to get it off.

Considering Aquapel is merely a film coating and lasts for 5 to 6 months, I feel it safe to say Optimum Opti-Coat would last for a year or two.
