    King Ranch Leather

    Quick question...

What is the name of the cleaner and/or Conditioner for the King Ranch Leather?
I am going to run to the dealership tomorrow to get some, I would just like to know the name of it.

Duragloss makes it for Ford, correct?

Also, has anyone has any experience with it? (cleaning and conditioning the leather) And what should I expect?

    Thanks in advance DCer`s!!!

I don`t knnow who makes it or what its actually called but, just tell them you need the stuff for the king ranch leather and they "should" know what you want.

I worked at one of the biggest ford dealerships in the country, #2 in super duty pickups. I seen about a dozen of the king ranch models a day for about 3 years straight.

Just Clean and condition it like you would regular leather. Just be sure to use that king ranch stuff. Also, Try not to use brushes on the leather either. It`ll mess with the grain and color.

I beleive its a natural hide. Not P/Leather.

    Found this by googling it.

The leather is called "Castano Leather" and is a trade-marked leather
brought to Ford by the fine folks at the King Ranch in Kingsville,
    Texas
I wish i could get the leather in my chevy. Once it gets broke in, its very comfortable.

    King Ranch Leather

I love the looks of King Ranch Leather, BUT I find it very difficult to keep it looking nice.

My best friend is a concrete contractor and has, as his work truck, a big F350 King Ranch with all the bells and whistles. Not my favorite vehicle to detail. Partly because he`s my best friend so I give him quite a deal to work on it, but also because he is pretty hard on it. I finally got him to get a seat cover for his driver seat, it was wearing pretty bad from him getting in and out all full of dirt and concrete dust. I imagine King Ranch seats are much more difficult to re-cover or re-coat than traditonal leather seats.

Yes these seats are uncoated an should be treated with leather conditioners as well as cleaners.. they will take on another darker shade but as Troy said they will become softer and softer as time goes by if treated right.

    Re: King Ranch Leather

Knowing that King leather is not clear coated the Leatherique would be one of the cleaners and conditioners that I would be looking at.

I belong to their forum and know that I have seen guys ask about KL on it...from what I know about there line up...you want something that can soak into the leather of which will pull out the dirt, then the next step is to have a product that will soak in and protect...the two by leatherique are just that.
