    Cleaning Glass

I am looking for a good glass cleaner and was thinking NXT or stoners, but what product to restore a windsheild do you recomend and regular window cleaning product? I also was hoping to purchase the NXT or STONERS in a gallon size . Any advice on these two products or your oppinion would be great.. thanks window restorer,& reg. cleaner.

I`ve just always used Eagle One 20/20 for cleaning. Works great IMO.

Glen i use Stoners to maintain my Glass after i have clayed them. Then every few times when cleaning i use a suede MF on the glass. If you use the suede at 1st when the windows look clean, if the glass has anything left on it the Suede MF will keep biting and coming to a stop until the entire glass is clean and you`ll know when the glass is by how smooth the MF glides. I tried it and got in the car to leave and not a single streak, actualy it didn`t look to be any glass in the car..

    Re: Cleaning Glass

I have been using the Stoners IG for many years and it has been the only one that has not left streaks on my windows in my opinion, that was up until last year when i got a free sample of the Meg`s NXT Glass Cleaner and started using it here and there and it has now replaced the Stoners. It smells good sprays on easy and cleans the glass very well. You cannot go wrong with Either that`s for sure. I also clay my windows about every 2-3 months.
I know Target had the NXT on Clearance earlier this week for like 3.89 per bottle.

When claying the glass, do you use a quick detailer or glass cleaner for a gliding liquid, or does that matter at all?

    Glenn,

If you need to restore the glass first I would clay it first as others have recommended and then go over it with either a polish or a glass polish. After restoring the glass I would maintain it with Stoner`s IG, Megs NXT Glass Cleaner, or Sprayway Glass Cleaner. IMO Sprayway is the best of the bunch and can be bought by the case in wholesale clubs like Costco, etc. The IG is good too because it seems to leave a Rain-x like coating on the glass.

This was my favorite. The newer bottle of EO doesn`t seem to work as well so I am now about to trying NXT.

I would use a QD. I prefer QDs for their lubricity and when claying you don`t wanna cause antmore scratch`es you already have.

97F1504X4, I was at Target for something else, but knew i needed to pick up the NXT Glass cleaner and i couldn`t remember what i needed to get I.Do now and i`ll have to make another trip..

    I hate when that happens.

    Re: Cleaning Glass

I`m pretty much the same as everyone else here as far as claying to help restore and then if needed I`ll hit it with Poorboys Pro Polish. On my truck I then add a coat of EX-P, which I`ve found to be just as good as Rain-x, minus any streaking, plus it lasts weeks longer IMO. As far as general cleaners I too use either 20/20 or stoners, but haven`t tried the NXT yet.

    Re: Cleaning Glass

I know there`s a concentrated glass cleaner in the Megs Detailer line which is sold in one gallon size. I`ve heard people saying it`s just as good as the NXT cleaner.
