Well. I got to say I really do love how well AIO works as a base coat for applying others like sourvern or UPP, but I swear everytime I wash my car then apply a layer of AIO it seems to bring out swirls or marks that weren`t there before!! is this somethign i`m doing wrong? or is this just the naughty nature of this product? I really am going to have to buy a PC now and work some of these swirls out, they are annoying me to hell when I detail my car.

It sounds that you may be filling or hiding the swirls w/ your LSP. Then when you apply AIO after you wash as you stated, the AIO is removing your LSP only to reveal your swirls.

Or is it possible you are using a bad technique to apply/remove AIO causing these swirls??

I have no clue. Its a 2002 Ford SVT. I`m just using WOWO method for applying AIO. Just applying thin layer with Microfiber Applicator and wipe`n off after it hazes a bit.

Sounds like your method is correct, I`m assuming you`re using a good quality clean mf app and towel. AIO does highlight scratches/swirls so I think what the General said is happening, your lsp is hiding the swirls and AIO is removing the lsp.

Pro: Very easy to apply and buff off.

Pro: Very bright shine.

Pro: Excellent environmental protection.

Pro: Long Lasting.

Pro: You can wax over it with a carnauba wax if desired to deepen the shine.

Con: Can highlight swirls and paint imperfections.

Con: Some enthusiasts feel the shine is "sterile" on dark color cars.

gearhead said it, you were removing the LSP that hid the swirls by using AIO again. One of the most important steps to do before using the Klasse AIO and SG is to polish the swirls out using something like Menzerna FP or DACP. Both Klasse products could highlight swirls (although some swear that AIO removes minor swirls). I`ve topped AIO with Souveran and S100 on black and found that both carnaubas can hide a modest amount of swirls still visible with just AIO. You may also need to revisit your washing technique if you`re introducing new swirls after a wash.

I just used only AIO in a pretty swirled car and it seemed to remove/hide those swirls

before

After AIO on a PC and a white pad

Wow, I didn`t think AIO could do that! I`ve experienced it lessening light swirls and most of all cleaning and giving the paint a nice shine, especially if I use a polishing pad and worked it until it was dry instead of just applying it.

I have no trouble at all with AIO. I think one key is to make sure the surface prep is perfect. I wash then clay then use a paint cleanser lotion like GEPC or PCL.

Yah,

that might explain why the AIO was a little hard to remove. Also, I wasn`t able to WOWO with it, I did the entire car then I buffed it all off.

IMO- AIO is a chemical cleaner and the swirl marks are being removed by the foam pads composition (cutting/polishing)

couldn`t agree more. I found this same info at CMA after I did some head screatching.

I stumbled into this problem 1st couple times I used AIO to clean the surface preparing for a new combo `cause I didn`t do enough surface prep with the 1st detail. The LSP was hiding my laziness ( and lack of knowledge) so the swirls were re-revealed everytime I started with AIO to try a new combo.

Surface prep is everything.

I just picked up some of this AIO and I had just planned on washing the car, then claying it, washing it, and then using the AIO followed by SG.

Is this right?
