2007 Ferrari 599 Black n Sexy

I don't post up too much in CB these days, but thought you guys would like to check this one out.

It's an 07 Ferrari 599 with about 2400 miles on it and already needed to be fully polished. It has some buffer trails from the dealer the owner bought it from. Very cool car, it has the big carbon ceramic brakes with yellow callipers and it has the F1 trani with paddle shifters and Enzo engine which really wakes you up when you turn it on....

The interior was in good shape and only needed to be dusted, vacuumed and condition all the leather. It was black with yellow stitching.

Here's some interior shots.

Here's some pics of the holograms I was dealing with. Not too bad, the owner was surprised as the car looks great till I showed it to him under the 500W halogens.....

Here's a couple of staged shots of me about the polish them out....my basic process was Menz IP with white pad at 1300-1500rpms, then finished up with Zaino ZPC and white pad at 5000opms.

It turned out about 90-95% perfect. The owner was just wanting the holograms gone, so this was not a show car process, just a basic swirl removal process. Ended up taking about 8.5 hours total.

There was still just a few rids, but overall the car was to the place that the owner wanted it, I wanted to do more but didn't have time and my schedule is booked for the next 3 weeks so I can't get back anytime soon so it was what it was....

Now for the glamour shots....

I had to take these pics before I applied the LSP cause I was afraid of it being dark by time I finished....

Basically put two coats of Zaino per request from the owner.

A coat of Z5/Z6 and a coat of ZCS followed with some Z8.

You can imagine the car was killer after alls said and done....

Looks great! I wonder if I should start wearing a mask when I polish..

You do not want to be breathing that powder in from the compounding polishes, it is very harmful especially if you're doing this full time and 8-10 hours a day.....:shocked

I'm with Josh. You should wear a mask (and also safety glasses) your lungs and eyes will thank you for it.

Car looks great!! I am in the class that really enjoys the front engine Ferrari's. There is something very classy about them. Josh fantastic job.

I need a mask also, sometimes get a headache from all fo the chemicals

Car looks great. Never heard of wearing a mask while detailing. Which chemicals are harmful? I like to keep it safe and always wear a mask while painting due to the isocyanate but never considered detailing. Also, if it is chemicals that you are afraid of, that should be a carbon filter mask or fresh air supply, not a dust mask.

Thanks,

To be clear I do not wear the mask while detailing, only when polishing.

Thanks, I've always liked the 550 and 575 as well. This 599 is definately the king of the front engine F cars.

It's got an Enzo engine and sounds sooooooo sweet when you crank it up....:woot2:

Words just cannot describe it.

Awesome work Josh! It's so nice to be able to work on a fine piece of Automobile Art! It's a truly amazing machine and your work show's it too!.........:bow:bow:bow

What a spectacular car. Its got everything you want in a Ferrari, the refined 575 bodystyle with an F430 aggressive look also, and 100milisecond shifts to boot:shocked It looks incredible afterwards. Great job.

AMAZING WORK JOSH! I WISH WE HAD A FEW here in roanoke!!!! "I would give my... well maybe not my right hand but a few fingers" (which book is that from? some trivia here) to work on that car!
