Zymol's New Porsche Glaze Glasur...

I will go out on a limb here and say Zymol is excellent. I have used Destiny and love the look on my silver grey Bimmer. I have not used this new Porsche glaze but I am sure you will like it. Zymol does not get any repect since it costs a lot and people feel there are better products that give as good or better results for less money. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and that is what makes this and many forums entertaining. Give it a try and see for yourself, only you will know if it is worth it.

That's some pricey wax! The secret is to get the sampler pack from Emmons which is reasonably priced.

Do you think Destiny beats P21S or Pinnacle Signature or Souveran?

I think the issue is that there probably are better products for the money.

P.S. Gold Class. Yeah right. :rofl

Apparently there are plenty of people that feel Zymol products are worth the insane prices. Wouldn't stay in business if people didn't buy the products...

Gold Class has a nice look to it but cannot hold its own against higher quality waxes, and durability is a joke.

Could be superior marketing. They are strongly promoted at car shows.

Have you purchased any of the Zymol kits? All of the waxes say they need to be applied by hand...how many cars could be done off a small 4 oz. jar? LOL

Does anyone know how Zymol manages to get "56% carnuaba content" And, if this is true, how the heck does it get soft just from the warmth of your hands

It's my understanding that 30% carnuaba is about the practical max. As an example, from Griot's Garage website:

Carnauba in its natural state is about as hard as a brick and needs petroleum distillates, mineral spirits, and other ingredients to make it soft enough to apply to your paint. You've seen other waxes advertised as "100% carnauba wax," but unless you are buying it in brick or chip form, it's just plain false advertising. Truth is, the maximum amount of carnauba that you can put in a paste wax is about 30%.

It is very brittle and this is why you work with it warm i.e. in the palm of your hand. Or so I assume. If you didn't, it probably wouldn't cover very much.

I have S100 and have PS and feel these are both excellent too. The Destiny I have, I received from a internet store that went out of business for free. No they did not only sell Zymol products, they sold many different products. When my sample is gone, which will be soon, I have not decided if I will buy more. You are correct that the sampler kit is a good value. I do think that Destiny beats S100 but it can be a toss up between PS and Destiny on looks. I will give the edge to PS based on price. When I say PS I mean Souveran I never used Signature so cannot compare. Did you use all three, because you did not state your opinion which you felt was better. I do agree with you about Gold Class.

Yeah, Corey, but I would have thought that, at 56% carnuaba content, you'd have to do more than warm it with your hands. How does it ever last on your car if your body warmth is enough to soften it?

For $450 I would hope Destiny looks better than S100, P21S, and Souveran. It gets to a point where the increase in depth/shine/reflectivity/wetness is not worth the increase in cost.

You can get even at full retail a Total Care kit from Pinnacle with Souveran and most of the Pinnacle line for $125. With the extra $325 you save you could buy $100 of MF, $100 on a PC7336 at Lowes and spend the $125 rest on pads and machine polishes and glazes.

haha, good question. I don't think Zymol is made for durability though.

You did not state if you used all three. I am not saying Zymol is the end all. I am saying it is an excellent wax. If I did not get a free trial of Destiny I would not have bought it based on price. I am happy I have tried it and can say it is excellent and not just bash it like some who may not have used Zymol and just follow others opinions that it costs too much.
