Congrads on you 997!! Which one did you get?
Zymol Glasur is a nice wax, a bit costly, but a nice wax. There are other waxes for less that may do just as well. It depends on the finish color. Some waxes look great on light colors or metallics (P21S) and some look better on dark or red (Souveran) etc.
The only thing Glasur adds is additional oils and a bit more caranuba, but mostly oils.
Now for the bad part, if you have a dark/black finish and ave the wax on it and park under trees, the pollen will stick like flypaper as the oils migrate out when hot. Most of the pollen will be asy to remove, it's the first lower pollen that dropped. That will take a bit more work to remove.
It doesn't matter which wax, but the waxes with more oils, the more the pollen sticks.
I've gone away from waxes, although I do like the looks of some, to sealant. It lasts longer and easier to maintain. And yes, I have a black C2S and that's why. I learned the hard way on black when I had a Lexus RX300 SUV.
If you already have Glasur, then by all means use it. Just get the finish as perfect as possible first. Wash, clay, polish then apply the Glasur. It does give a deep look due to the oils.
To my eye, too much oils in waxes looks like if you have clean hair, then put on some Vitalis or other "grease" on it. I like the looks of some sealants that make the finish look like it just came out of a spray booth. But that's just me.
Post some pics when you get a chance!
