Zaino smearing..removing on hot surface

Here is my problem. Using z5 with zfx on my trans am. Applying it and removing it in the garage. The sun is on the back part of the car and when I am trying to remove it, it is smearing. The part where it is smearing is in the direct sun, the surface has gotten hot from when I applied it. Would trying to remove it on a hot surface cause it to smear? It is dry, let it sit for about 45 min. Used a little less than 1/2 oz on the car. It does not look like it is smearing anywhere on the rest of the car, but hard to tell since it is not in the direct sun. Opinions or has anyone had a similar experience?

I have the same problem on my son's Black Prelude, only it's the hood that smears/streaks. It does it every time I Z-5, but much worse if the hood is warm at all. The only cure I've found so far is to buff the hood with my PC using a microfiber bonnet. The hood also streaks when I use Z-6 on it. It helped to cut the Z-6 with 25% water, but still have to use the PC to make it right.

It must be the hot surface because the sun has moved and put more of the back of the car in the direct sun and where it was not earlier and I removed it when it was cool, it did not smear. Never had this problem as I usually apply remove late at night under lights in the garage or early in the morning before the sun comes in the garage.

what year/color of T/A do you have?? I have a 2000 Black T/A Firehawk personally....

I have never had a problem if I leave the door closed to the garage when I'm working on the car..... if its possible for you to do that, it would be best and make removal easier.

Also you might try misting your removal cloth with a quick spray of Z6 before removing.....

It is black, 2001 WS6 Trans Am. As I said, I never really had this problem as I never really removed it in the direct sun before. Put some more coats on under flourescent lights and they looked ok. I just wiped the other areas down with a mist of water and the smears were gone.

Let it dry a bit longer and it should buff off easy. Remember to use THIN coats.

If it still smears just wipe it down best you can with a damp towel. This should take off all the remaining smearing and if not, a quick Z7 wash will level it out.............

I thought about this as I apply Zaino in direct sunlight and have not had this problem.....I have only used ZFX once and I had no problems.........Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm.

If it smears it must not be dry yet? Did it seem to be still wet?

It must not have been dry, but I thought for sure it would have after sitting in the sun for about 30-40min. I guess I will let it dry a little longer next time. I just wiped it down with a damp towel and it was fine though.

another good question is this: how many drops of ZFX did you add to the mixture?? if you add too few, you can make it take longer to dry. I generally add 5-6 drops per ounce and a half (I mix that much since I usually throw some on two vehicles at once)..... takes about 15 minutes to dry..... by the time I'm done applying to the whole car by hand, I can buff it out back at my starting pannel/point.

I think it may have something to do with the color and the resulting surface temp. The only trouble I have ever had removing Zaino was on a dark blue Highlander that I had to do out in the direct sunlight (no ZFX). The rest of the car buffed out no problem, but I had the hardest time on the hood. The Zaino was dry, but it smeared like crazy when I tried to remove it. Spraying some water on the hood helped with the removal, but I think the surface was just too hot (and believe me, it was hot - I couldn't put my hand on it for more than a couple of seconds).
