Zaino Question

On Saturday, I proceeded to do the following:

1. Wash with Dawn

2. Claybar

3. Wash again with Z7

4. Polished with Z5

5. Buffed with Z6

I was then interupted and was unable to get back to it.

My schedule doesn't leave me with time to get back to this until the upcoming holiday weekend. My question is, can I just pick up and start with a wash with Z7 and start sealing with a couple coats of Z2 pro or should I do anything else?

Also is the finish safe for a couple weeks with just a single coat of Z5?

The vehicle is an 05 Honda Odyssey, about 6 weeks old, so the paint is in overall excellent condition. Didn't see much with the claybar and it has been washed weekly since new.

After washing with Z7, you can apply either Z5 or Z2 Pro with no problems.

I used 2 coats of Z5 in December and my car is still doing well (daily driver, too), so yes you should be protected for a good while.

Thanks for such a quick reply. I was hoping I didn't get myself in trouble by stopping before I had a couple coats. I have to say it looked great right after, but due to rain and pollen, it is already in desparate need of a bath. Can't wait for the pollen season to pass.

I didn't see if you included ZFX in your applications, It would be helpful and beneficial to you to use the ZFX, first to help the initial application bond to the paint, and secondly to allow you to apply more than one coat in the same day. Durability is also increased with the use of the ZFX.:xyxthumbs

I did use ZFX.

I got home yesterday and a bird crapped on my hood. I just ran the hose on it and it ran right off. I'm used to having to get a rag to clean that stuff off. Also waterspotting wasn't much of a problem. Now if it could just repel pollen...:nixweiss
