Zaino Approved Waynestowels ?

Sal Z. has resisted for many years the use of MF with his Zaino system. He has always recommended Cannon/Fieldcrest 100% USA Cotton. Fieldcrest went bankrupt last year.

Waynestowels web site says that his towels are Zaino approved. Funny, but Zaino's web site makes no mention of them.

Why Waynestowels? Anyone try them? Anything very special about these towels? Or is this just a marketing partnership?

Who the heck is "waynestowels"? I dunno. Like you, I've been perplexed at Zaino's insistence that only 100% cotton towels like Fieldcrest be used (since it's so darn hard to determine whether a towel really IS 100% cotton). But since I started using Zaino, the towel I've used most successfully is the Autopia CBT (which has its equivalent in the DFTowel). Good for Sal! But let's hear more about this "waynetowel" and whether it's legit or not.

Just looks like your run of the mill MF's.

How they get "Zaino Approved" is a new one on me!

Time to call Sal.

Regards,

Deanski

I remember Wayne towels, Lynn... do a search in the Mod forum :)

Uh-oh. Is the infamous DUH-Wayne? ;) I'm off to search-land.

Note to newbies (and semi-newbie Mods): A healthy dose of skepticism is good for our health.

Wayne is a sponsor of CMA's discussion board and yes Sal does recommend his towels. But I am sure other plush.....DF ,CMF are just fine.

I got into this whole Cannon/Fieldcrest 100% USA Cotton towel extravaganza when I first tried Zaino. After my first application, I had lint everywhere. These days all I use is MF towels for removal and a couple of DFtowels :D for the final buff. I now use my cotton towels for QEW sessions. And of course, all towels are cared for better than my clothing. :p

I have been using Pakshak towels for a few years with Z. As a matter of fact I have been using his towels will all kinds of wax's and never had a problem... Heck I have ben more than happy.. :)

Wayne's Towels are high quality microfibers. Don't knock them untill you try them!!!

He is also an honest business man who is well respected.

I do not believe that Wayne is an honest man. He attempted to Spam on Autopia by claiming that he accidently ordered like 6000 towels instead of 60 towels and he was just trying to sell the extras since the company wouldn't take them back. You might notice that he isn't a member on Autopia anymore. I believe that he is dishonest and I wouldn't buy his towels if they were the only microfibers on the market. The way he tried to play us like we were stupid here is a black mark on his record that isn't going away any time soon.

Bing....go ;)

Fellas, let's not hold a grudge. You talk as if it happened yesterday. The incident occured a year and a half ago and for whatever reason, David decided to ban Wayne from the site.

One of the board's contributing members originated this thread, not Wayne. Instead of flaming a guy that can't defend himself, why don't you call or email Sal to find out the real answer. You may be suprised my Sal's response.

Just let the past be the past, we have enough to worry about now.
