So I got a few Zaino applicators a while back with a fairly large order, about 7 or so. They have been washed about 8 or 9 times, after each use (just like my MF towels) and last night, as I went to take out the towels from the wash and put them in the dryer, I noticed a bunch of foam squares. I was like W T F ?

So anyways, 4 of the 5 of the Z applicators that I had in the wash were completely torn apart and the foam came out of the terry cloth part. Has anyone else had this problem with the Z applicators?

I wash mine by hand and haven't had any problems. On the Zaino site it does say to "Hand-wash the applicator using Liquid All or Tide and air dry".

I just used mine once the other day for two coats of Z5. It was really nappy-feeling when I was done. I have bought the "bag-o-applicators" from Pep Boys that felt nicer than these. I just washed mine with a strong dawn solution and air-dried it. It still looked like it was in bad shape when I was done. When I got it I thought it was going to be really nice and soft, but proved otherwise. :down I think next time, I will use MF applicators with my Z. :xyxthumbs

i've used my z applicators only one time and after a wash (by hand), i felt as though they weren't as soft as when they were brand new...so i tossed them...in replacement, i now use the Meguiars yellow foam pads (walmart 2-pack $1.67)...->I<- prefer to use these foam pads rather than the terry cloth/MF ones whether it be Z or carnauba...BTW, i apply my Z w/ a PC & foam finishing pad so the megs foam pad, I believe, work just as good... plus, i seem to have thinner coats/better control using a foam pad...

buy a pack and try it out...

Try using these - Viking Sure Grip Applicator Pad

I use one of these 5" foam applicator pads for applying my Zaino (6 coats).

This pad has a "Sure Grip" foam handle that makes application much easier and faster than the Zaino ones or a regular yellow foam applicator.

It is very easy to hold and it spreads the Z very evenly and smoothly and thinly. It is easy to wash out using Dawn.

I have some of the EO Xpress it applicators. They are great except that you end up using two applicators. One for the big panels, and one for the smaller areas. Is that what you guys do with the Viking ones also?:nixweiss
