Z5 on top of Z2 pro?

I used zaino for the first time about 5 weeks ago. My car had some light swirling, you couldn't notice it unless you examined it autopian style in direct sunlight. I put on 3 coats of z2 and put on z8 when I was done and the car looked amazing (IMO), but the swirls were still there. Would it be worth it to put a coat of z5 on top of the Z2? Would that ruin the depth from the Z2? Any other recomendations? Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

The Z products work with one another so you can layer z5 over z2, to help with depth you can put z6 or z8 between layers of z2 an z5 and finish off with z6 or z8.

You will find that Z5 does very little for swirls. It is non abrasive so all it can really do is fill the, not fix them. It wasn't until I got my PC and some Poorboys polish that I was able to reduce/eliminate my paint's swirls. I still plan on topping with Z5 for that last bit of swirl masking. If you plan on adding Z5 over Z2, Sal Zaino recommends ending with a layer of Z2 (as it is the most reflective of the 2).

You can try a few layers (3-4) of Z5 over the Z2-PRO, Z8 or Z6. If the current swirls are very minor, you will see some improvement. Top again with one layer of Z2-PRO and you have the same quality of appearance you have now and maybe less visible swirling.

In other words, if you have Z5 already give it a shot. If not, wait a few more weeks and get the Zaino cleanser/polish and start over again with swirl elimination prior to Z2-PRO. :wavey

Actually Z5 is an ideal maintenance measure to fill micro marring caused by any number of things, from wiping, washing, and possibly using a QD. Z5 is optically similar to the Z2Pro, so should not diminish the appearance of a Zaino'ed car. IMO.

( I am assuming that the paint is in basic good condition and all you are doing is to maintain what you have) :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

I'm with BlkZ & Mochamanz on this one. The only thing I'd add would be to make sure that your last coat of Zaino is Z2 Pro. ( then topped with Z8 ) You may add a number of coats of Z5, just finish with Z2 Pro/ Z8.
