Z2Pro/Z8 on Titanium Elise

Usually not a Click&Brag sort of guy, but was pleased to see how the metallic flakes came out, so I couldn't resist. New car, so the process wasn't too involving.

- ClayMagic Blue clay

- Menzerna Final Polish II

- 3 coats of Z2 Pro

- Raggtop vinyl protectant on tires and trim

- Zaino Z10 on leather and interior vinyl

- Z8 about a month later

The picture was taken the following morning after Z8 was applied. Z2 Pro and Z8 seem to require some curing time on this car. It really takes a day or two for both products to harden up and for the slickness to come out. Final slickness is similar to Mezerna FMJ or Platinum UPP. I want to try both of those on this car to see how it looks.

That car is amazing! and the detail is no different :xyxthumbs

The last pic is what that color should look like  . Thanks for making my mind for a silver metallic I have this weekend.

:bow Beautiful work.

I really like the Elise. It's like a go-cart for grownups...all engine and focus on the racing function.

I have noticed that Z8 will continue to improve over time as well. The whole Zaino product line is great. No complaints here.

Thanks for the kind comments. The metallic pattern is a bit more coarse that most paints, so it's easy to get the flake to come out.

montoya,

My dad is in Toronto these days. Nice place too!

That color is sick, awesome job on the detail!

I just saw that car yesterday for the first time parked in a diner parking lot. It was like a mustard yellow, I wasn't to crazy for the color, but seeing how small it is reminded me of a little golf kart. One Very fast golf kart, must be a blast to drive and scoot around in town.
