Z2Pro vs Z2/Z5

I've used them all. IMHO I'd take Z2 Pro over Z2 and Z5 any day, it is slicker, wetter looking and easier to use. Durability is reported to be better also, however I cannot confirm that yet.

I used to use several sealants depending on what the need was for. Most people prefer durabilty and a nice look so i used to use Z2 and Z5 on about 60% of my details. I used to use other products when a customer would prefer glossy look. Now that I have tried Pro, it is the total package, Durabilty (I assume), Wet Look, Deep Look, Mirror Shine, and easy to use. A note about durabilty is that I have two months on some cars and the ones that have called me report that the beads are still tiny. Since Pro came out I am using up all my old stuff and then sticking to Z2Pro. At least the sealant part of detailing has been asnwered for me. As for your question I think it's obvious I think Z2Pro is an improvement over the old Z2 and Z5.

I Loved Z2 and especially Z5, but Z2 pro is in a class by itself.

I always put Z5 before Z2 or Z2 pro. I think now IMO nothing can touch Z2 pro. And from what we hear the new Z8 will be incredible.

I'm on the verge of ordering Z2PRO. I would order it in a second if you didn't have to use ZFX for the initial application.

I bet the next generation improvement on Z2PRO will be a sealant that doesn't require an accelerator.

Jose' any answer on your EURO question?

:D

Ok, my take. The first Zaino I used was the old Z2 and the current Z5, samples sent to me by a friend there, and applied with Z1.

My first thoughts about them was I easy they were to use, apply thin, wait, clean, that's it.

Then I received the new Z2, used the same way but found it a little more dificult to use, especially to remove. I really liked Z2/Z5 reflectivity and clearity, like glass, they were products like none else. Some liked it some not.

I now have Z2Pro on my car, aplied over a coat of Z5 but without ZFX, just Z7 wash and Z1 before. I too found how it dried very fast, the haze appeared after a couple of minutes, making it "a little" more dificult to spread even. I let it there for 20 minutes and then started to remove, and it was here I got frustrated, it was a lot more dificult to buff off the excess. I felt like buffing AIO after letting it dry.

I liked *very much* the wet look and gloss left by Z2P, much as the ones left by other warmer waxes. But the efort of removing it left some fine marks. The next day I repeated the process but using ZFX, I could apply *a little* thiner, I was using a better method too, and removal was a little easier too. I liked the fact that previous marr was gone, it must have filled them.

I have it on my car now, for a couple of weeks, I like it's looks, I felt it lost some slickness after a QEW wash, but still looks good. But............

I miss that cristal clear, crispy and shiny look of Z2.....Ok, it looks great, those who didn't like the cold look of Z2 will love it. I love it but not for the Zaino look ;)

Jose',

I know you are experienced with using Zaino. I found with Z2-PRO that spritzing a MF applicator really helps with spreading and applying thin coats. This spritz is only necessary a couple of times until applicator is saturated with Z2-PRO. I found MF applicators work better than the cotton applicators. I spritz with Z6.

Also you can add that "crystal" appearance over the warmth of the Z2-PRO. It looks really nice. This same effect is accomplished by "the soon to be released" Z8. :D

That's exactly how I apply Zainos, MF pad with a Z6 spritz :D

Let's wait for that Z8 ;)

Will it be better if you spritz with Z8 the applicator? I use foam applicators for this, I'll give a try to MF ones.

Could you use Z8 (or Z6) over the Z2-Pro/Z5 dried to help in the removing process?

Thanks !!
