Your Preference, Smooth Or Dimpled Polishing Pads?

Depends on the factors...

Dual Action | dry polishing | Compounding/cutting = Low heat = Flat
Dual Action | wet polishing | Compounding/cutting = cool = Flat
Dual Action | dry polishing | Finishing = Low heat = Flat
Dual Action | wet polishing | Finishing = cool = Flat

Forced Rotation | dry polishing | Compound/cutting = medium heat = dimpled or channeled
Forced Rotation | wet polishing | Compounding/cutting = cool = dimpled or channeled
Forced Rotation | dry polishing | Finishing = low heat = dimpled or channeled
Forced Rotation | wet polishing | Finishing = cool = dimpled or channeled

Rotary | wet polishing | Compounding/cutting = cool = flat
Rotary | dry polishing | Finishing = high heat = dimpled or channeled
Rotary | wet polishing | Finishing = cool = flat
Rotary | Dry polishing | Jeweling = high heat = kompressor/flex pad

* I don't cut dry unless it's low speed... which obviously defeats the purpose.

Flat pads for everything, period..

I want all the pad working all the time, not just the spots that are not dimpled...

Yeah, I know, you just have to press it down... whatever... :)

lm in total control of the process, I dont need any help from any other pad design other than flat..
