Which is your preference: a carnauba, a sealant, or a sealant topped with a carnauba?

Carnauba for the looks. Nuba over sealant doesnt always work well.

I pretty much just top it off with a sealant.

I no longer top my sealants with carnauba, I just pick one or the other. Which way I go depends on the vehicle, but I use carnaubas on most of 'em so I voted that way.

Agreed with Accumulator, it's basically just defeating your own purpose to top sealants with wax.



I also prefer carnauba's for look and application process.

It's hard for me not to drive the car for 24 hours while the sealant cures and then apply the wax, so I just stick with nubas.

I've played around with layering 476S, including trying to determine if/when subsequent applications mess with the previous one. IMO you oughta wait a good 12 hours, but a full day isn't necessary (not that the diff is all that great though huh? But after the first layer, you could do one the next morning and then one more later that evening).

Two coats of NXT 2.0.

And a million wipes with UQD in between detailing sessions.

Collinite 845 & 915 for me, I have never seen longer lasting protection with minimum amount of work.

Love Z8, it adds a look that is very close to a nuba, but much easier to apply.
