Your favorite LSP?

Can you name one (and just one) LSP that you like more than anything else. One that is your true favorite? I've tried and can't seem to do it.

As a standard sealant right now I have started adding layers of powerlock to my Wife's car... I did have DG105 which is a very favorite of mine because it's long wearing and it's candied look. The car has 2 coats of PL on it right now and is looking nice on dark grey though... right now it's still DG105.

For wax I have to say Vintage or CG 50/50. Sealant, Poxy... Top these with CG V7 and get your sunglasses out.

LOL, good to see I'm not the only one that can't name just one.

CG's V7...is this something I oughta consider trying when I (well..."if I" ) finally run out of my post-wash QDs? I was planning to switch to Meguiar's UQW (the Pro equivalent product), but I'd better ask about stuff now before I spend any money.

The LSP I use most often is OCW. It's my current favorite (going on a year or two) because it's very easy to use, looks nice and has decent durability. What more could you really want? In fact, I rarely use traditional LSP's anymore. I usually reapply every second or third wash for that just-waxed look and feel, plus it keeps the protection level high.

I have a different favorite for each car. For my Red MR2 I love Meguiar's #26. It leaves a glow that is so deep you could fall in. On my Savannah Metallic RX330 I love Meguiar's ULW.

The MR2 is a garage queen so durability is a non-issue. The RX330 is a daily driver and the ULW holds up as good as any other sealant I've used.

that's a tough question as we all know. different looks, durability not an issue with me cause i'mm always puttin on a layer of something once a month at least. at the moment cmw and ocw. sealants, fk1000, meguires 16.

Opti-Seal. Easy to use, durable, looks terrific on all colors. As one customer remarked while I was applying it to his car "it looks like you are wiping on wetness".

That's pretty much where I am with this, though I do have FK1000P on, let's see..3/7ths of my vehicles.

FK has been a favorite of mine for a long time, but I have to say that I have been less than impressed with it's durability vs. DG105 or powerlock. It could have been user error and needed a good IPA wipedown first, it SHOULD have been more durable I do know that.

Isn't it funny how the "YMMV" thing can work out?!?

Even when I don't ipa/etc. before applying it, my FK1000P is nearly in the "semi-permanent coating" range. I'm disappointed if I have to refresh it once a *year* And that's on the beaters, that get used *hard*, including Ohio winters for the Tahoe.

idk man... I like it a lot and then look IMO is top notch. It's a nice, hard coating that I used to put on my old Evo ALL the time, that and DG105. The car used to stay outside all of the time, that's about the only thing I can think of. Then again back then I didn't use a PH neutral soap either. It was just zip wax or something. Now I have been using Adam's overpriced car wash.

My favorite LSP:

Sealant: Blackfire Wet Diamond

Carnauba wax: Pinnacle's Souveran Paste Wax

Winter Wax: Collinite Insulator Wax No. 845
