Your favorite glass cleaner?

Stoner's Invisible Glass.

I've used tons of various glass cleaners from OTC and professional stuff, and the Stoner's is just better.

Over the last 20 years I've used many different glass cleaners. Meguiar's Detailer Line D120 is the best I've found. It's also very cost effective and smells great too. ;)

IMO, it really comes down to the cleaning process and not so much the glass cleaner though.

My overall fave is Griot's. It gets slammed a lot ("hey, it's just rubbing alcohol mixed with water!") but it works great for me. I also use a lot of Zep40, but it's an aerosol and those can be problematic.

People are always raving about how great Meguiar's Detailer Line (I think that's the name..) stuff works though, that oughta be worth a try.

Streaks too easily. been using it years with mixed results. If the glass is hot it's not so great. :(

I want to try the D120 glass cleaner, it's on my list for sure. ;)

32oz sample "concentrate" at ADS for $6.99! You get the bottle, sprayer, and it mixes 10:1!!!! :)

Meguiar's D120 Glass Cleaner 32 oz.

Cleaning hot glass always seems to be a pain and I never clean them in the sun for that very reason. ;)

That's one hell of a deal, especially if it's great!! Thanks!

No prob! I like using Huck Surgical towels and the key is to always use two at a time. One for the initial cleaning and the second for the finishing off. You want to work fast and use the second towel before the cleaner has completely evaporated away. I will usually use 4 towels per car too. Once they become damp and full of gunk I grab new ones...other wise you are just smearing around the grime you picked up from the previous windows. ;)

Rasky, where do you get your surgical towels from? I'm down to 2 and haven't figured out where to buy some new ones yet.

I have the Megs Detailer line glass cleaner that I use on my current details and I like it as well, but I still have a bottle of Stoner's that I usually use for my own car. Honestly, the best glass cleaner that I have is some generic GM brand aerosol can I got for free from a dealership once.

It's been so long that I ordered them I honestly can't remember. I think I just Googled them and purchased them from some towel store.

X 2!!! Who does glass in direct sunlight anyway? The real question now is which bottle to use, aerosol or spray?

It's not even a matter of direct sunlight, it's a matter of the glass is HOT from just sitting in the texas heat. I have hit and miss results with SIG, always have over the past 10 years.

I'll get it to look streak free until you get the light gleaming off the windshield at just the right time of day (early morning, late evening) and you can see lots of streaking.

You're so right, man. I often think my glass looks incredible, and then I head east to the beach around 7:45 am every day and all the flaws and interior film are revealed :( I just can't win with my windshield. Not mention all the other drivers have to use their wipers and fluid and it gets all over my clean *** ride. F.M.L.

Drives me nuts too. I always warn my clients i'm not great at getting windows spotless and try to explain what I just explained above.

I sure love how clean they look until that glare happens.

LOL! I work on the beach, so everyone I know can't escape this problem. Those who can afford to hang on the beach certainly ain't waisting their time detailing their own cars. No, they work and play and pay some one else to get their rides good as new. Some things aren't worth doing yourself if you've got better things to do, my friends.
