What products do you wish you favorite vendor would make?

Meguiars - A non trim staining, no cleaner, layerable LSP

Optimum - OPP in a fresh scent, the fake leather smell is terrible

Anyone - A trim protectant that really lasts and doesn't run all over your paint or disapper in two weeks!

A super new sealant (or carnauba hybrid) that is 1) WOWA 2) looks better than any other LSP ever invented regardless of paint color 3) lasts longer than any LSP 4) does not need to be layered for better looks or protection 5) *repels* dust 6) protects paint from bird bombs and won't let it etch the paint 7) costs 10 bucks!

:D

It would kind of foolish to follow Rob's suggestion so I'm going to second his idea.

Rob, you forgot #8) Free shipping. LOL

I want a company to just be honest. For example. This wax may not last the longest, but it sure will shine. or This product really does have a small amount of fillers. or Truthfully layering this wax does absolutley nothing for more gloss, thats created before. I also really don't need the fancy bottle and label. How about a simple bottle and label that way you can keep the cost lower. LOL did I forget something?

Marketing of detailing products is an interesting subject all on its own.

Take something like the Poorboys line for example. They have a marketing approach which implies that they are putting the minimum amount of money into their packaging (take a look at the Natty's jars for example and the "amateur" look of the writing on the simple label) and marketing, and passing the savings on to the customer. Whether it actually happens is a completely different question!

Then you have a company like Dodo Juice, which is about as creative when it comes to marketing as you could possibly be! Their jars *do* look cool! Their product names also sound unique and "one of a kind". But is their carnauba really that much better than Poorboys Natty's??

I don't know. But I do know that I personally am somewhat of a sucker when it comes to the high style marketing gimmicks used by companies such as Dodo! :bolt

A liquid resin that when applied not only fills in all the micromarring of the clearcoat but is permanent and hardens to the equivlent of clear steel. But applies just like a polish ;) So instead of polishing away the clear and giving the paint a finite amount of time before failure you actually add a couple of permant microns of protection to it.

Didn't you just describe the new Optimum product?

No idea.. I think I may have described what the new optimum product is supposed to do. But I've yet to see any real world data confirming it. If so.. I know what's going to be in my stocking :D

Although there used to be a guy on here from Japan that was using something very similar to what I was describing but claimed we couldn't get it here in the states about a year or so ago...

You really need to get out a bit more....:LOLOL

Lol... I was being more reasonable... hoping that Santa might deliver.

What I want that's realistic:

Products designed for the Winter. A sealant and QD that would streak horribly in the Summer, but would work perfectly in the colder weather.

Not-so-much:

a protective force-field to protect from dust, dirt, bird-bombs, and rock chips :)

For example, how can anyone resist this type of packaging/marketing!?!?!
