Your Choice For Swril Removers

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
I'm back in the market for some heavier cut SWR and a good polish

To date I have used

P&S...not bad, but not near the quality that I want...also they are dust collectors

Presta...very good results..expensive..the sling is hard to get off in the cracks

Wolfgang...very good, but not strong enough for some applications that I want

Ardex...very good stuff, but more of a chemical based compound and not great for some applications

PB..always a crowd pleaser!...

What I am looking for is a good SWR that can really cut when I need it, then a polish to pull out the finish.

Any suggestions and why you like what you are using?

I should also add this is for rotary applications only...I do not use the PC for SWR removal..the polish I would but not that often

Have you looked at the Optimum line? Hyper Compound is pad dependant as well as the polish. They can be agressive or mild.

I haven't and thanks....I am going to get some Menzerna for sure...but that's just a small trial amount

If you are willing to spend the $$$$ I hear the new Meg 105 is real good

I have used M105 and it is works really good on my HARD paint. Has a very short work time though. It is not that expensive. 12 oz for about $10. A quart for about $24 and a gallon for about $70.

Is it the newest 3.0?

I doubt you can do better than this product for swirl removal.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's better than all the rest but it is definitely among the best.

The one that I used was the total SWR...are you talking about something else?

I use the 3.0 and to me it was almost the same as SIP. But the SIP had a little more punch to it.

I have heard it cuts real fast but have not used it.
On MOL site says MSRP $111.00 per gallon so while I have not shopped for it 70 sounds like you got a good deal.

I can buy #80 for 23 a gallon so to me even 70 is high.

All of my vehicles are maintained to the point that all I ever need is something very mild.

If I was doing this for other people I would try the 105 because of the fast cutting time.

Man I can't keep up with all the new stuff that the Manufactures are coming out with. Better products coming out all the time but I guess that is good.

Re: Your Choice For Swirl Removers

One of the reasons detailing is so interesting is the many differing opinions on products. :D

No kidding...I know that Ron is a big P&S guy...they have a good line...my local guy has tons of stuff in his store front...but the P&S line has not impressed me
