Next up was a brand new c6, overall it was in great shape (probably because it only had 600 miles on it  ) and this car turned out to be my first corvette, all I have to say is that I've never encountered a clear coat as hard as this, Yellow Pad / Optimum compound at speed 6 on the PC would barely even touch this paint, I ended up having to be satisfied with about 85-90% (95% in some areas) of the marring removed :bawling:

Exterior:-Wash With NXT Wash

-Yellow Pad/Optimum Compound Speed 6 on the PC

-Orange Pad / Optimum Polish Speed 6 on the PC

-Poorboys EX-P (wanted to seal it and get a little longer durability)

-P21S Carnuba wax

-Wheels cleaned with Meguiars All Wheel Cleaner

-Wheels Sealed with Poorboys wheel sealent

-Meguiars NXT Hot shine to tires

-Wheel wells cleaned with Armor All Tire foam (worked awesome)

-Glass with NXT Glass Cleaner

-Tips polished with mothers metal polish

-Exterior Trim treated with Poorboys Trim Restorer

Interior:

-Vacuum

-Poorboys Trim Restorer to all door panels/dash/trim pieces

-Pinnacle's Natural Brilliance Leather Conditioner to leather (first time trying this out and I LOVE this product, its absolutely awesome, smells wonderful, leaves the leather smooth and its just a really easy product to apply, wonderful purchase :) )

Engine:

-Poorboys Trim Restorer Wipedown

Nice work! I have been throwing around the idea of picking up some Pinnacle Leather Conditioner but at $30 it's kind of hard to convince myself....

The notorious Corvette clear is why I have two silver ones. I think the Sonus Swirlbuster would be a really nice polish and pad combination to use on the Corvettes since it will fill in the remaining imperfections nicely and you can apply some SG, AJ/AJT, or a carnauba on top for more protection.

This CLS 500 AMG was the car I detailed today (1/1/07), car was in great shape, no polishing needed, a light clay on the roof/trunklid, and a nice vacuum job/leather conditioning was all it really needed, here was my process

Exterior

-Wash with NXT wash

-Pinnacle Ultra poly clay (to roof/trunk lid/rear bumper/hood)

-Poorboys EX-P x2 by hand

-Wheels cleaned with Meguiars All wheel cleaner

-Meguiars NXT Hot shine to tires

-NXT Glass Cleaner

-Poorboys trim restorer wipedown to engine

Interior

-Vacuum

-Pinnacle Leather Conditioner

-Poorboys Trim Restorer to dash/door panels

-S&G to door jambs

-Lots of brushing ;)

Nice work sftempest66 one question when you list what you do for each vehicle is that in the exact order of steps that you take on the vehicle.

Excellent work on all three, the CLS's paint is dripping wet and that Corvette interior looks superb. Also, nice job getting that pale yellow Crossfire looking as good as you did. :bow

Very nice work! The owner of that M-B really needs to get his V1 hardwired though.

Immaculate work, great stuff. The Vette is incredible, the MB is seriously looking like it's sitting underwater still and the Crossfire is just WOW.

Great job on all 3! That pastel yellow color for the crossfire looks dripping wet, not to mention the silver AMG. The corvette looks great as well, nice work!

First of all, thanks everyone, I've been doing lots of details lately over my christmas break and I feel like I'm improving my work :D

The order I listed isn't the exact order I do them in, I'll usually wash the whole car, wash the wheels, spray the insides of the fender wells before I dry off the car due to all of the overspray that I get on the paint, clean all of the door jambs, etc, then clay, compound/polish, seal, caranuba...

As far as the interior goes, I usually dress everything, vacuum, then come back and wipedown everything so its even, then do the glass, etc...I've really got my whole routine down now, and it seems that with every new detail, I get more and more time efficient ;)

You can easily get to the back of the Crossfire wheels by just sticking your hand in there. Trust me, I should know (just look at my username):lol Excellent job on all the cars. The Vette is an awesome blue! I am curious to know how many miles the Crossfire had on it? The interior looks like new but I am curious to know how that color holds-up over time. How did you like the PB leather stuff on the Crossfire? Thanks

Fantastic results! How did you clean the crossfires's wheels all the way to the back edge? They look brand new!

Meguiars Gold Class Ultra-Safe Wheel Brush is a large wheel brush made with hundreds of soft, flexible bristles that will not scratch delicate wheel :bigups :bigups :bigups

Hmm, how many miles on the Crossfire I'm not really sure, the door panels had a lot of grime on them so I had to use some diluted simple green and lots of scrubbing to get it out, as for the PB leather stuff, its a great cleaner, seems like a decent conditioner, but definately worth the money for a clean/condition one two punch

Man.......That was an AWESOME Click & Brag!!!

You have skills bro.....tons.

Oh yeah, I want your camera. Leave all the settings like they are and mail it to me.
