Yay, another new piece of glass!

On my way to CT on Thursday afternoon following some big trucks on I-95 when a bag of cement mix appeared in the road. They all drove through it as did I. A split second later, *CRACK*, and I have a nice, half dollar sized crack right in front of my eyes.

I was unsure which truck kicked it up (I believe they are liable for their truck's actions) so I just let it go. I have full glass coverage with 0 deductible so its just a matter of taking time off to get it done.

I scheduled this morning and it will be done on Thursday. Say goodbye to the tinted windshield thats also water etched (owner before) and sand pitted after almost 100k miles.

BTW: I think my car is cursed. I was thinking of having it blessed by a priest :nixweiss.

I've run out of things to say about these very unfortunate events that have been happening to you too Sean :(

Maybe the car was named "Christine" previously :nervous:

Look at the bright side, you will be looking through new clear glass. My sister had to have hers replaced because the cheap glass was soo pited and scratched it was hard to see out of. :woot:

Ouch, that sucks. I guess it's better than hitting the paint.

I don't think modern windshields hold up very well. They seem to be very prone to pitting/chipping, and replacing is considered part of standard maintenance by many folks.

The I-95 corridor between Philly and Wilmington is brutal -you're not alone.

Yeap, How annoying. I need a windshield in one of my vehicles as well. I don't think trucks (company's) are liable for kicking up stones/debris that are already on the road. However if they had stones or debris that was falling off their truck from a current or previous load, then they are liable. Just my .02
