Work vehicle

O RLY?
All you mobile detailers out there... What vehicle do you work out of? I'm looking to purchase a vehicle soon and I need it to accomodate everything I will need for mobile detailing jobs and fulfil the needs of a daily driver. If you suggest a certain type of vehicle, will you please specify the make and model and why it would be a good daily driver/detailing workhorse?

Thanks for your advice.

I know ScottWax uses his Mazda 626 4-door. he carries everything in it, and I guess the car gets the job done for him

GSRStilez uses his Integra. He fills it up, with everything he needs.

NavindraLR uses his Acura RSX. Same thing as GSRStilez.

All I got for now. I'm probably going to go mobile once I get my lisence, and I'll be taking the back seat outta my Jeep which has about this much storage space behind the seats >.< See the dot between the arrows? That's my storage space! Should I need more room, I have considered a trailer hitch mounted shelf. Kind of what you would use for toting around a wheel chair.

I detail out of my 2003 Mustang Cobra, though it isn't very practical (but it works lol). At least I'm never late to an appt. ;)

But if I was detailing for a living, I would probably buy a 4 Runner or some type of SUV.

I'm just getting started, but the details I've done I've packed everything into my Honda Del Sol. Definatley packed the trunk to the top, but fit everything I needed. I'm selling it this week and buying an A4 so that will be a slightly bigger detail car

Here is my rig. Everything barely fits in it. Remember we reclaim our water, have our own power, and carry enough spotfree water and equipment (extractors ,scafolds, ladders, etc...) to handle a full days work be it cars, RVs or airplanes.

I'm detailing out of my Mazda 3 four door. I have enough room for the amount of detailing that I do.

Very nice set up ,1 Clean WS6, trailer looks great.

Im still detailing out of my car.... but as of monday will have a trailer which will make life easier...

I like that Ford Lightning...I think the red TEG of Sean's and the silver one from Navindra are very good advertising since they are so shiny. :)

THANKS, I will back in Irvine this Saturday for the presentation of Meguiars new products.

I wish I could be there. Watching your's and Mike Phillip's rotary skills was very enlightening.

Here is what I would rec. I am going to pick one up here in the near future! The dodge magnum has it all, space, looks, gas mileage. I'm just going to get the base model V6, 190 HP, 20-28 MPG. PLus look at the space in the back, and there is storage under the rear cargo mat.

I have a '87 GMC safari minivan that i might consider selling. I can't access Autopia from the home computer so being that I'm somewhere else i can't post any pics right now. Anyone can contact me for info and pics here: [email protected]

I've owned this van for 4 years; detailing out of it for 2. The only reason I would sell it is because I bought a another van.

I personally think vans are the way to go.
