work light for non-garage jobs?

what do you do for jobs where there isn't access to a garage with the super-friendly fluorescent lighting? I have a couple jobs coming up where I'll probably do some plastic and glass polishing.

I thought about getting one of those portable work lamps from home depot and using it in the shade....dunno how well it would work, though. any ideas?

anyone? I just ordered two bottles of AG (and two of p21s bodywork while I was at it) from CMA and I'll see how the free light source works out, i.e. the sun :).

I made a a portable for mysefle. I took a 4 foot floutrescent from home depot and opened it up. I drilled holes in the casing then attached it to my home made adjustable jack stand rigged up from a camera tripod. All done with wing nuts and a drill. Works great because I can adjust the height to shine on side anels or hoods trunks and roofs.
