Wood Wind Instrument Swab Cleaners

Last night while cleaning my Murano I noticed that I had allot of build-up of dust, dirt and oily looking stuff in my AC vents....I have some long bristle brushes that I use that I got for cleaning rifles...

While cleaning I remember that I had the cotton fluffy cleaner for my Clarinet (yes I play it) Its long with cotton fibers designed to take the moisture out of the instrument after playing...I went and grabbed it and was amazed how fast and well it cleaned the vents...The core is twisted metal that you can bend if you choice...

I do know that there are plenty of these mad for all kinds of instruments...some longer and bigger depending on the insturmet...I plan on heading to my local music shop today to have a look....I see more that AC vent cleaners for these in my detailing.

Very good idea. Sometimes those bristle brushes don't get into the corners of the vents. Or they may leave behind a bristle or two as well. This seems like a very practical tool to clean vents out with. Thanks for the tip.

That makes me want to go clean my Murano vents. I usually blow them out with my compressor, but that probably only gets the loose stuff.
