Wolfgang Vs. Pinnacle Wheel & Tire Line

I am debating between a kit that includes the Wolfgang Tire and Wheel Cleaner with Black Diamond dressing and the Pinnacle kit which includes their Wheel Cleaner and Black Onyx dressing. I have only used OTC foam dressings in the past, and would like to see what a sharp, but less glossy tire looks like. I also don't want to dry out/prematurely age my new tires.

Any input regarding these two kits?

Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel is good stuff. Its a thinnish type liquid and you don't need much to apply. Let it sit on the tires for about an hour to absorb into the rubber. Do that and very little if any sling. Nice gloss but not over the top. Pretty good durability too.

I've used Meguiar's High Endurance Tire Gel as well but it just sits on the tires and too much dust and dirt for my taste.

The Wolfgang bottle will last forever too since you need very little to apply.

I wouldn't expect a lot of difference between these two kits, biggest difference might be the labels...they are made by the same company.

Disclaimer: I have not personally used these products.

I've used the Pinnacle Tire Kit for the first time last month and love it. Smells great and the tires are shiny and wet even after all the rain we had here last week on the east coast.

If you MUST get one or the other, get the WolfGang kit. I use the WG tire gel and it is awesome, but also look into the Surf City Garage Tire gel, it offers similar durability but with a bit less shine, and it $& cheaper. Both should last you a while.

As far a wheels cleaners, its not worth it to pay as much as the WG and pinnacle are selling for. Get some Surf City Garage or DP wheel cleaner. They both offer great cleaning ability and are safe for all wheels.

For wheel cleaners, try magic eraser before you buy an expensive one. I love them, and think anyone should try it out. They are $3 for about 12-15 of them. They work wonders and are cheaper than anything else out there. For dressing, I like the WG, but prefer the Eimann Fabrik Tire gel or the CG VRP dressing.
