Woah! What happened to my Natty's?

Hey guys I just went to clean up some of my car stuff and I was opening and looking at all the wax that I had. When I was lookin at Nattys it looked sort of "mushy". Then when I pressed my finger on it I noticed that is was. All I ever did was store it in a laundry room cabinet. I only used it 2 or 3 times. I don't exactly know when I bought it but I think it has been around a year. I have never felt it before so could I have had a bad jar or something? What should I do now? I will see if I can get some pics.

well if you make a batch then you make more then just a few. and if some have gotten out then there isn't much you can do except replace it. I have a can of natty's and it's fine and over a year old. Look at what happened when the Edge 2000 pads came out there was a problem and a company still sold them at a crazy cheep price and we all had to pay for it by dealing with the glue issue and waiting for Arron to replace them. Thank fully that is ended and the 2000 pads work fine now

That's the cool thing about Natty's, at first you have a carnauba paste, then you have a nice liquid wax in a year!

:)

Thanks for the links. It is strange why this happens in room temperature. In one of the threads somebody said that it may not be air tight but I don't know. Should I contact Steve at Poorboys or the vendor I bought it from. ( SMP)

I had the same problem with Nattys but when I bumped the temp of my storage room down to about 72-74 degrees the problem went away.

I would call Steve. But I think I remember him advising someone to put it in the fridge first. If that didn't work then he would replace it.

It is in the freezer right now to see if it will make any difference. I'll let it say for a day and a half or so and then check on it. (Should I move it to the fridge?)

yeah I would probably move it to the fridge. I'm not sure if wax can freeze, but the fridge temp should be perfect. Or you could just leave it in the freezer for an hour or so and see what happens.

use the fridge not the freezer youll regret it. Learn from my mistakes
Yeah I moved it to the fridge after it was in the freezer for a bout a half an hour. What happened when you put whatever into the freezer.
