...Dreaming on an E92....
Since I've joined DC :wow: :)

When I think back to two years ago, I knew NOTHING about detailing. I hardly knew what a clay bar was, I had never heard of a PC.
I remember Beemerboy called me in the middle of my 4th period PC class to talk to me about detailing, my teacher didn't like that :notme:
I've gained lots of knowledge through hands-on experience and from my previous jobs, but I wouldn't be nearly as skilled (Not saying I'm the best) as I am today without the help of everyone here on Detail City. This place has been through numerous face lifts and changes, hacked a handful of times, but it keeps going strong. I still find tips on here and various techniques you folks use, it's a never ending learning process. I imagine most if not all of you feel the same way

Thanks again DC, even you members who no longer visit us ;) :bigups

I second that. It's the members that make a site great and I think this site has some great members.

Thank you all for making DC what it is today! :dcrules

The internet is such an amazing tool. Never before have we had access to so much information at the tips of our fingers. Through great sites like this one, people can come and learn so much and in turn help someone else and hopefully get them hooked on detailing as well.:dcrules

Yeah, I can't thank Al Gore enough for creating the internet... Seriously, I'm also learning new things every day from this great site and the members that share their knowledge. This is one of the most professional and friendly communities that I've ever seen on the internet and I'm proud to be a member.

EDIT:

Disclaimer: I know that Al Gore was not the inventor of the internet. His original quote in 1999 has been misinterpreted many different ways and I was only making a joke of it.

:bigups Way to go LikeaRock

Inacurrate and incorrect:

In a March 1999 interview with Wolf Blitzer, Gore said, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

He said it, not me.

I'm thinking this was a joke! or at least everyone that I know says it that way
If so intended, it didn't come off that way. And to let it go without challenge IMO would have been detrimental to the perception of the forum members' ability to discern fact vs fiction.

Maybe the "laughing out loud" smiley wasn't enough to express the fact that I was joking. Please see original post for a disclaimer.

Aha the post was victim to the uncertainties of internet communication (I don't guess anyone will be blaming Gore for that, will they :D ). The idea of the smiley being that of sarcasm did enter my mind :) It seems though that I was mistaken, dang that is my once for this calendar year :wall
