Winter Wax: Meg's NXT or the Klasse TwoStep

So, this weekend, I will be doing a really early pre-winter detail, because I'm starting to get close to the end here. I'm probably going to end up doing multiple layers of whichever I end up doing, I just don't which to do.

I'm going to doing a wash-clay-wash, then either the NXT or Klasse twins.

Would it be worth layering either of them? Or start with the Klasse SG, and after a few layers, use the NXT for gloss? Or do a bunch of SG, with carnuba?

Also, if i try to use a carnuba topper, can it be the few things of Cleaner I have, or will that try and strip down the previous sealant.

For what its worth, the only washes this will get over the winter will be with scrub brushes and a pretty hefty car wash soap at work - not the nicest, but I don't have facilities to do it at home.

Cliffnotes:

-Winter is coming

-I own the Klasse Twins and Meg's NXT

-Layers?

-Carnuba cleaner over either?

Thanks in advanced.

So what can I use for a SG topper? I've heard adding a carnauba layer will add depth and wetness.

Will NXT or my Meguiar Cleaner Wax? Or should I go by some real carnauba?

I wouldn't suggest any type of cleaner wax as the cleaners would compromise whatever was underneath (e.g. the Klasse). You could apply a pure wax topper, although I'm not sure that would be necessary or beneficial.

Here is what i suggest your process be

-Wash

-Clay

-Klasse AIO

-Klasse SG (as many coats as possible, let it cure between coats for about 24 hrs. i try for 3-6 coats)

-If you are not totally worn out at this point, top it with a non cleaner wax, my recommendation would be collinite 476s or iw845 (relatively cheap at harbor freight)

layers of sg offer gerat protection. A topper is not required for great resluts. I choose to top it because winters in colorado are really though. I find that i get way longer protection when i top it.

I would echo MBenz's suggestion. Use the Klasse twins and then Collinite845 (super cheap at a local Harbor freight) for a long losting protection. This is usually the regimen that I use on my daily driver that sits outside exposed to all Maryland has to offer with good results.

longdx, how often do you find youreself repeating this "regimen?"

If you must use a toper and all you are looking for is depth and wetness then I would suggest p21s. It will not last all winter but you didn’t say any thing about durability. But if you’re willing to give up a little on the looks department ( but not much ) then you should top with 476s/or 885 fleetwax. Their durability is unbelievable. I’m against using iw845 or most any liquid wax as a toper. It could just be me but I have more confidence with a paste wax rather than a liquid when put on top of a sealant.
