basically megs 80 +16 + OCW

my question...#16 is great for durability but doesn't add much for "looks"...I haven't tested out my bottle of OCW yet...but should I apply OCW before #16??...is OCW a beauty wax (ie S100, etc)? will it impart more of a "look"? look = depth, enhanced flaking, etc...I will be applying to a silverstone 350z...any feed back...since I plan on attacking this weekend...THANKS

You should really use the OCW before the 16. The 16 will give a clear wet look to your paint.

For my winter up protection I plan AIO, AG EGP topped with Nattys blue and then to use OCW like you plan to after carnuba tho. My thoughts behind this is to use it after every wash If i can during the cold months, adding extra layers of carnuba in between if the weather gives a suitable day.

I would personally use #16 before the OCW. #16 will probably have a better durability period than OCW. Anytime you want to add a little more protection, just spray on a coat of OCW.

Why do you consider S100 a 'beauty wax'? It may not be as durable as #16 or others, but it can still last a couple months under severe wet weather. In all honesty, a couple months is about the limit for most carnaubas anyway (except Collinite and #16). I like to use S100 in the winter just for the beads it produces!

Surprisingly, UPP has been outstanding for me in the durability and beading aspects. I was expecting very little from it and was pleasantly surprised when it was still holding up after 2 months.

well its 50/50...plan on adding more OCW over the winter (when I can - friggen New England)..so I guess #16 1st then the OCW...also in between OCW, plan on using Prestone QS (qd+carnuba)...its a nice OTC qd..shouldn't cause any issues with OCW???
