Winter in a soft-top

I'm not sure that I'll be able to save up enough $ to buy a hard top for my new Jeep this winter, so I'm going to likely rough it with the soft top. This is my first winter with it, so I'm wondering, is there any kind of prep work (for the top) that I need to do before I start driving it in the snow? It is okay for me to drive it with the soft top right? I'm a little concerned with the weight of alot of snow affecting the top (sagging, etc).

I had a friend that drove hius the first year in the snow. He was not an Autopian and the top didnt look any worse come spring time. So I would guess that you would be fine.

Hey fellow Jeeper, You will be fine. These new sail cloth tops are pretty durable.

I'm getting ready to go through my first winter with my 05 Unlimited also. Check this board out if you haven't already www.Jeepforum.com lots of good info and great help
