Winter drying

It is definitely that time of year again and it's getting harder to dry the car without it streaking all over the place. What I normally do is dry it and then go back over it with QD and a regular MF later to get all the streaks. Has anyone found any other good ways of drying in the colder temperatures?

ya the qd seem to work to an extent but sometimes its hard to even buff the QD off. I run the heater and let it heat up the garage a bit and it usually works.

I'll give it a go over with S&W, works well for me

I wouldn't mind using spray and wipe if the car didn't get so dirty in the winter, but sometime the car simply needs to be washed. S&W isn't an option for me in the winter.

I'm sorry I must have mis understood you, I thought you were referring drying problems, for that I go over the car with S&W after washing and drying to get rid of any streaking or spotting.

As for winter washing I will take it to the local U-do-it car wash and blast off the heavy stuff enough to where I can use S&W when I get home.
I have heard that some of them even have 1 or 2 bays for prople that want to do a bucket wash, but I haven't seen one by me.

What I'm concerned with is winter drying. The washing part is fine, but drying in low temperatures is the issue. I'm just wondering what else I can do short of firing up the heaters in the garage. I don't really see a need to do that just for drying once a week, but I can do it if I have to.

If you think drying your car in the cold is bad, try doing it in a hurricane or 100% humidity. I don't wanna hear you complain about a little cold till you have come out and had a tree on top of your car because of the 12th hurricane of the month weakened it so much...
