Windy weather

Is it ok to wash your car outdoors when it's windy. Sometimes you have dust, etc getting attracted to your car when it's wet.

I find that vehicles dry much too quickly in windy weather. Water spotting is almost sure to be a problem. I have started to use QEW and wash my trucks in the garage when it is windy. I know wind. I live in Nebraska and almost every day is a windy day.

I would definitely be wary of washing a car in windy weather, as so much dust/grit can be blown around while in the process of washing. In fact I've just told my wife this, her car will have to wait for a still day!

I know, in the U.K. at least, it seems to have got windier over the last couple of years - or am I getting even more AUTOPIAN?

Keep the flow of water up when washing in windy weather and if possible use a blower to dry off, rather than any surface drier (Microfibre towel, Chamois, etc).
