Windshield Fogging/Haze Problem

Hi Guys,

I got some Eagle One Nano Interior Protectant for Christmas and I figured I'd use it on my GTI. Ever since though my windows seem to develop some sort of haze on the inside of the windshield. A quick wipe with the microfibre it goes away but returns within the day.

My windows have fogged up a couple of times due to the cold temps/hot air inside aswell. (typical, but wondering if its the condensation causing this or the protectant)

Either way, it's annoying and I can't stand to try and look through this haze. I'm curious as to whether or not something in the protectant is evaporating and causing this or it's the fogging up of the windshield.

Any similar experiences?

My theory is that certain protectants and even the off gasing of the dash itself causes a lot of streaking and fogging present on windshields. I believe this is why it can be difficult to get the windshield streak free.

Yes, applying waxes/sealant or any other product with high capacity of water beading can cause this.

Some weeks ago I tested Meg UQD on windows and next day... BOOM mega hazing while driving... :angry :angry :angry

Now I just clean them only with 1z WC.

PS: Apply only that product outside. Inside just use a regular window cleaner.

I believe he is talking about inside of the windshield.

I didn't apply any product to the inside of the windshield, it was applied to the dash.

I just cleaned the windows inside and out so they are perfect, I use Invisible Glass to clean the windows, I'll be cleaning the dash next, and reverting back to Optimum Protectant and see if anything changes.

Maybe the solvents of that product get fixed on windshield. Weird... Try cleaning the interior side one more time. ;)
