Hi, I have had two vinyl decals on the my windows for almost a year now, and I just took it off today. I cleaned the class with alcohol, and a degreaser and nothing will take away the faint image of the stickers. Is there anything out there that will fix it, or is my window permanently like that now?

Try a mild paint polish on the area (3M Finesse It II Finishing Material comes to mind) or try a glass polish (Zaino Z12, Autoglym, and Einzette come to mind.)

Hi, yeah my windows are tinted. I was thinking about the Zaino glass polish since no Zaino product has let me down yet. But I figured it wouldn't be any better than rubbing alcohol. Actually I figured it might be rasberry scented rubbing alcohol, j/k.:p

Seriously though, you guys think the Z12 would remove it? Or is the problem in my tint now and not my glass?

Well are these spots on the inside which is tinted or on the exterior?

I would not recommend any glass polish for tinted windows (on the film itself.) Plexus works well.....

I helped someone remove some stickers that have been inside their VW Jetta I think or could it be the Vw Beetle. They have been on the window for at least 5 years or around there. Some Goof Off removed the residue and some Z12 for follow-up, you wouldn't have thought a sticker was even there. Worked well for me. YMMV.

I had the stickers on the outside of my windows, they gave me 20 horsepower I think. So I'm guessing the spots are on the outside.

Sure Z12 the outside of the glass. Just don't get the Z12 onto the paint or inside the window on the tint film. It'll destroy the film and haze the paint.

Here is what happened. The sun slightly faded your tint except for where your sticker was. That is what the mark is. Had the same thing happen with my truck when I had it. Only thing to do is wait until the sun fades that part too. Mine eventually blended in.

When I detail cars and the outside has something on them that wont come off I use a paint thinner that will get ANYTHING off the windows. I dont know if its exactly paint thinner because I work for a guy and he has it labeled as thinner but it comes off easy.

As for the tint fading, if its good tint that isnt dyed platic but metallic plastic it SHOULDNT fade whatsoever.

just fyi.
