Will Wheel Cleaners Remove Wax From Wheels?

It seems most wheel cleaners are pretty strong. I'm just wondering if it would be pointless for me to wax my wheels if wheel cleaners are just going to remove all the wax.

Thanks

The usual Autopian theory is to get the wheels cleaned, polished, and waxed, and then not use harsh wheel cleaners (the theory being that once clean, polished, and waxed, the dirt will come off with normal car soap just like the rest of the paint). You may need to modify this regimen depending on your wash habits, driving habits, wheel geometry, and brake pads.

I'd say most will remove wax and sealant. You might be able to dillute them some though and maybe they won't. If the wheels are waxed regular shampoo and a soft brush should even do the trick.
