I've been doing the S100 over Zaino for about 4 months, and am very pleased. I was wondering if I can do Zaino, #7, then s100...just for kicks. Thanks guys.
I'm sorry, but isn't this what you're doing ? Or is it something like Z2/ZFX, Z7, then s100. So you're just washing prior to s100 ?
I'm a little hesitant on this topper idea as of late because I've seen a few posts saying that s100 (or any carnuba) eats through the Z. Was hoping for a more elaborate posting on it though.
#7 has a little too much oil to be topped with a carnauba. When using a glaze and carnauba it is usually an "either/or" kind of decision. You don't generally use both of them. I doubt it will melt the paint off your car if you were to try it though. The carnauba would most likely negate the appearance factor of using the glaze at all so its usually not a method that is recommended.
Did you see this one yet ? After reading up on #7 and it's claims for "wettness", I wanted to try #7 "under" Zaino, then do a layer or two of s100, but got a lot of feedback that the Z would not stick to the #7.
I guess #7 is more for shows, but probably wouldn't hold up too well over time compared to your s100 application.
You can do just about whatever you want for kicks, but keep in mind that after that you wouldn't be able to do Zaino without stripping off the other stuff.
