Will PBW SSR3 + Yellow pad fix this scratch?

I know it's hard to give a definite answer without seeing it in person, but based on the picture I'm hoping some experts here can tell me if some SSR3 and a yellow LCC pad on a PC 7424 will correct this scratch (or at least minimize it significantly?)

I have a feeling it may need wet sanding, but I'm not even going to attempt that (too risky for my skill level).

Thanks for any inputs!

OK I will start

1.) what kind of car?

2.) what size pads?

3.) from the pics it does not look that bad:clap:

4.) have you polished before?....whay not just try it and see what happens

5.) IMO you need to show that "rocks in a bottle" as much respect as any sandpaper

I would prob start with something less then SSR3:waxing:

I should add, some of the scratches can be felt with the finger nail.

2008 Acura TL. Yellow pad at 5.5 in and orange and white at 6.5. Yes, I have polished before, but only to get out 1 or 2 minor scratches.

I'm asking because I'll be doing a full polish/was at the end of this month when I get to use my parents garage (I live in an apt.). So if there's anything I need, then I'll order it now.

yeah, I'll start at SSR2.5 with an orange pad first. Thanks.

Acura paint is on the soft side. I've gotten deeper scratches out with the PC and SSR 2.5 with an orange paint on harder paints. I definitely think that it will come out.

In my experience, using a 4" orange or yellow pad and SSR3 will definately remove those with a PC because they appear relatively shallow from the photos. I also suggest to start with something less agressive and move up if needed. Keep in mind it will probably require a few passes.

Good luck.

If that's the case, you may not get them out. Even if you can, is it worth it to sacrifice all of the clear in that area to do so?

As mentioned, SSR3 is very serious stuff. It combined with a yellow pad is very aggressive and will leave a mess of the paint to clean up. A PFW / wool pad would be a much better choice.
