Will I have a problem with DACP and LS?

I have a red Lincoln LS that needs some touch up and it has light to moderate swirl marks (he has been drying it with an old T-shirt:shocked ) and was thinking of using DACP with a White pad, maybe even an orange power pad. Then going back over with pinnacle liquid souvern. Should I expect any hazing? I would like to keep this in under two steps, but I also have Meg. Swirl Remover and Meg Red Cutting Pad, Yellow Cutting Pad and White polishing pads. So I have several different ways to go at this, but Im not sure how. Pics below

I did a very similar color Mustang with swirls like that recently. I used DACP with a Lake Country yellow (cutting) pad and a PC, taking speed up to 5-5.5. It was very effective at removing the swirls, although there were a few spots that needed a second pass. I did not see any haze, but followed up with Megs #9 (white polishing pad) before #26 wax. It turned out very good (sorry, no pics). With the DACP, I worked it until powdery, which I think is the key in using that product. BTW, DACP is one of my favorite products due to its consistent, amazing results along with ease of use.

CAPEFEAR,

DACP = Meguair's Dual Action Cleaner Polish. I have found that as long as you work it in to the paint untill it is almost gone, it will probably be ok to top with your favorite wax. After using DACP, if any hazing is evident, follow up with something like Swirl Free, SECP/GEPC, Meg's #9, etc. DACP is truly great stuff.

I find that if you near completely remove swirls and light scratches with DACP, following up with AIO is awesome prior to topping with your favorite wax.

I used to follow up DACP with VM, but now use AIO applied by hand with a damp terry applicator.

Yesterday I did my white Honda with DACP, AIO, Insulator Wax then Blitz. Amazing results.

I use DACP on speed 6 with a yellow Lake County pad.

I also have an Ivory Lincoln LS with the same swirl marks. I was thinking about using #9, followed by Z-5 and Z-2.

Wouldn't DACP be too aggressive for a first time polish?

Also, does #9 contain fillers? Would Z-5 remove those fillers, leaving the swirls?

Yeah, safe for clearcoat, most things are.

I secon the other comments about working it to a powder/shine. With a foampad, you should have a decent finish.

I strongly second the idea of AIO after. If you have very good lighting, you'll see anything you missed...

Good Luck!

DACP with the Orange Pad worked correctly can be followed with LS - of course a dark color could always use a polish just to be sure.

I like the Orange Pads. They're more dense so less product gets soaked into pad like I've noticed with yellow and white.
