Why do you have 15 coats of Zaino on your car anyways?

To answer your question, yes.

I disagree. I called Sal Zaino personally and asked him the exact same question.

He told me that claybar will remove approximately half of the most recent layer.

That means you still have Zaino protection even after you clay.

I have 23 layers of Zaino on my car. Once a month for 23 months. I also "spot-clay" the rough spots once a month, just before re-Zee'ing......

(Obviously, some of that Zaino wears off between layers, but with each coat of Z, it seems to look better and better!.......If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Zaino magic works for me.)

It'll remove some. Your layers will be thinner in spots that take more UV damage (blocking UV from your paint is harsh on the sealant) and rain impacts. If you're throwing another layer on, it shouldn't matter at all.

A lot of it depends on how you clay. Claying does *not* strip my KSG to an appreciable extent (five-six layers, spot-claying at every wash, still lasts nearly a year) . Lynn's been claying her white Jag, and she found it didn't strip her Zaino to an appreciable extent either.

As long as you're just claying your LSP, pulling contaminants out of *it*, you won't remove much. Sal's "half the most recent layer" sounds about right, and I'd say you can do it without removing *that* much. So with numerous layers, it shouldn't be an issue. As always, clay as gently as you can.
